I thought you might like to know how we are doing with site recruitment. As of this morning, we have 35 sites that are going through R&D approval of which 3 have received approval. We have expressions of interest from another 28 sites so we are on target for our 50 site goal.
Thanks to everyone for their help and patience with the study registration process. The secure online web portal should go live during the second week of October when we should start patient recruitment. I will keep post here when we have our first patient recruited!

I am writing to let you know that we have two new training dates for the (SPOT)light study.
(1) 2.00 pm on August 12 @ ICNARC (Central London)
(2) 1.30pm on September 8 @ Hatfield Hall (Wakefield near Leeds)

Other updates are available at the study blog (www.spotlightstudy.org) but in brief we are making great progress. We have now received approval to link patient data to determine 90 day survival. We have started submitting local SSI forms for 40 hospitals, and currently have another 60 sites who have expressed interest.
Fingers crossed we’ll see you at one of the training days in the near future.
